Medicinal Cannabis

Cannabis is a flowering plant that produces a unique family of terpeno-phenolic compounds called cannabinoids which are the active chemical ingredients. Over 100 different cannabinoids have been identified, but research has focused on only two of them so far: the delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (i.e. Δ9-THC, THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).

The global sentiment towards medicinal cannabis is changing with an increasing number of governments approving and/or amending legislation to enable patients to legally gain access to medicinal cannabis.
